Disaster strikes Atlantis and Carter must rise to the command challenge - just as her old boss arrives for a visit...

This has always been another of my favourites. Sam being strong and a leader, Jack being er, Jack and the Atlantis characters also shining.

Everything seems to be going great with O'Neill's visit to Atlantis, but then a mine hits the city...

"We drop it back into the ocean. It'll explode somewhere above the mantel. Atlantis will feel a bit of a kick, but she should be fine."

"Can't we just do that now?" He indicated the hole it had left on entry.

Carter shook her head. "If it explodes too close to the remaining mines…"

"Right… got it." He shrugged. "Well, Carter, you know me. I'm always up for a harebrained scheme. I say have at it."

This is a great story, and one well worthy of a rec and re-read. :D

I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I love her ST:Voyager stuff as well, but this is my favourite of her stories.
