Why This Must Be Read: First of all, super hot. Super, super hot. It includes a younger Rodney in one of fandom’s favorite incarnations of him, which is dressed up as a cranky (and mostly-naked) cupid (from the film Where the Heart Is, no, not the one with Natalie Portman), plus a smokin’ hot demon!John. Even though the story is incredibly sexy, the subtle hints of wider world-building are fantastic, like John’s various stages of being in demonic forms as things heat up. It’s the first part in a series, and of course the second installment is well-worth the read, being also hot and also with more world-building.
Rodney and John walked out of the changing room together, down the hall to the exit door.
“So, can you fly or are the wings just for show?” Rodney asked.
John laughed as they stepped out in the afternoon sunshine. “Well, let me tell you.”
