Why This Must Be Read: This reads like love in real life, with hesitant beginnings when neither man is at his best because in a perilous place like Pegasus there’s never a great time to fall in love to both of them nervous but finding their place in the universe: together. The steady progression of their relationship, fraught with uncertainty and nerves about their relationship, is in turns amusing and poignant.


"I, Evan, take you, Radek," he murmurs under his breath, as if trying out the words will make this seem more possible.
Radek shakes his head at him, amused. "You will not forget," he says.
"I don't know about that," Evan says. When he finally takes Radek's hand in front of the judge, he can feel his heart pounding. His throat is dry.
Radek's hand is firm on his, steadying him, and he hangs on tight, and suddenly saying the words is easy, like this is where they've been headed all along, and they've finally come to rest.
