Why This Must Be Read:  One of the best "Daniel returns after ascension" fics I've ever read. Long and angsty and wonderful.

 

Daniel's nightmares weren't getting any better; if anything, they were getting worse. And short of someone like Teal'c physically restraining him, O'Neill was incapable of leaving the archeologist to sweat it out alone.

The first time it had happened, he'd been in his own house, in his own bed, sleeping the sleep of the truly righteous.

He'd tucked a flesh and blood Daniel in himself that first night back after hauling the archaeolgist home from Vis Uban. The kid had been exhausted, had literally been asleep before his head hit the pillow, and Jack had stayed for several hours just watching him sleep. 

Probably would have slept there himself, except the General had ordered him home. Uselessly, as it turned out.

Just in case you weren't aware, there are two ways to put user names in a post.
In the HTML posting field, the code is xxxx where xxxx is the username, and on the Rich Text posting side, just select the name (no code needed) and click on the little gray head icon above. You have to select the name exactly though, with no stray blank space after it.

Heh, and it rendered the code as an actual fake username of course. Here's the HTML code again, but remove the space just before the = for the real thing.

And it still did it! Okay, best to tell not show. So just do the coding as you had in your post, but with quote marks around the actual username, so like "tanis" - and do that only in the html posting field.
