Why This Must Be Read: I love this series and this one is both my favorite and the first chronologically. An interesting twist on the robot/android threads woven into Stargate in different ways, this gives us John (along with Mitchell) starting out as robots at the SGC under the care of creators Zelenka and Lee and babysitter/mentor Lorne. John and Mitchell's personalities shine despite their starting out as toaster-sized robots and how Zelenka, Lee and Lorne relate to them is both hilarious and touching.
