Why This Must Be Read: Because it is hilarious, sweet and caring (or at least Rodney's version of caring). And did I mention hilarious? I'm not sure how many times I've read it and it makes me giggle every time. Plus it has hurt/comfort, which makes me happy. Pru's characterizations of John and Rodney are wonderful and I could so see this happening as written. There is a podfic available, read by the author. It can be found here.
When John wakes up in the ER--again--his first words are, "God damn it."
