Why this must be read: This is a beautiful piece that takes place during The Tao of Rodney when John is teaching Rodney to meditate. It's a lovely moment between them where Rodney's altered state physically takes them to John's happy place and they are able to have a close, interment moment together where they both let go and just allow themselves to be together. It's hot, gentle, and sweet.

Why this must be read: This is a wonderful post-canon piece where Rodney and John are estranged due to their own inability to have deep conversations. They meet in an elevator, which of course breaks down, forcing them to finally talk and admit their feelings for one another. Rodney is struggling with the tight quarters and the fact he's stuck with this person he's built so much anger and resentment at. Meanwhile, John's clearly not sure why Rodney's so upset in the first place. It's such a real interaction that unfolds bit by bit, until at last they see the whole picture and how they could have been together all along. It makes my whole heart swell.

Mas is an excellent author with many amazing stories, but this one is my favorite. Mas does such a wonderful job here of showing us John and Rodney's perfectly in character tension and their confusion that I had to keep rereading this fic to go back and re-experience all the feels. 

It's a lovely piece that's well worth reading time and time again. In fact, I loved it so much, in fact, that I made a podfic of it just so I could keep going back and listening.

Why This Must Be Read: This wonderful fic by Rosiepaw is an absolute gem. It’s written from John’s POV and is a hilarious yet sensitive 'getting together' story, with everyone delightfully struggling around a mentally-reset Rodney. After an accident, he’s robbed of all learned abilities, but of course, he’s still a genius—giving everyone a run for their money while clinging only to John, bringing out mutual protectiveness and care. It’s incredibly funny and sweet, and yes, it’s really hot too. It gives you all the best feelings!
