Why This Must Be Read: This is a Five Times Plus One fic, and the emotion in each connected section is almost overwhelming. It’s set entirely in the first season of the show, in the gaps between episodes. Essentially, it’s John’s struggle to accept how he feels about Rodney, how they continually come together and move apart until he decides that he has to take the chance and expose his feelings. It’s beautifully done. And the sex scenes are amazing!

Also, the collaboration between these two lovely writers is absolutely seamless.

Jack and Sam got permission from President Hayes to pursue a relationship, as long as they didn't tell anyone or let it affect their work.

It's not easy, but they make it work. Sam learns that "Jack" is a different person from "Colonel O'Neill". Jack learns that letting Sam take charge in Atlantis is good for her career, although he misses her fiercely.

Lovely story on how relationships can be made to work.
