Why This Must Be Read: This is a delightful contemplation of Jack O'Neill by one Sergeant Siler, culminating with exactly what Siler left Jack in his will.

It's wry and deadpan and realistic - just like Siler himself. A joy to read!

As far as Sgt. Siler was concerned, officers were like the weather, hard to predict with any accuracy, beyond the ordinary person's control, and capable of greatly affecting the tenor of a working man's day. And like the weather, most of the activity they generated was made way up high where the air was thin, and fell alike on the just and the unjust down below. His personal approach in dealing with all this was to try to keep his head down and keep going, regardless. What can't be changed must be endured, and in general, it wasn't worth having too much of an opinion about the weather.

Summary by the author:
While tracking down a lead to find the Athosians, the team is arrested on a secretive planet. Little do they realize how their plan of escape can change the course of history for the world where they're being held and their escapades will become the stuff of legends.

The story is set soon after Trio.

Why This Must Be Read:
Because "hilariously funny while still perfectly in character" is just an irresistible mix and hearing the "legends" that are told and then comparing them to what really happened is just plain fun. Also, it's exceptionally well written and an engrossing, thrilling read plot-wise. Loved the world building and how the OCs are carefully fleshed out without taking over the story.

All the time while reading this I tried to imagine what it would have looked like on screen. I would have *loved* to see that one as an episode.
