Why This Must Be Read: Here is an intelligent, sharp peek into Jack's headspace in the aftermath of Lockdown, as he prepares for the memorial for Colonel Vaselov. His interactions with Daniel and Colonel Chekov, as well as his own thoughts on his duties and responsibilities as general of the SGC, are strongly and perfectly Jack.

Why This Must Be Read: There are two summaries for this fic one on Wraithbait and one on AO3. Summary 1says. John and Rodney are together, but things aren't exactly as they appear (includes a xover with SG1, but is primarily SGA)
Summary 2 says Rodney discovers a deep truth about cloning and gets some help from an unusual source.

This is one of those stories that really brought a lump to my throat, because Rodney is hurting even though he should be the happiest man on Atlantis, he has a job he loves and the man of his dreams but what you see is not as it seems.

RODNEY IS A MOUNTIE!!! Staff Sargent Rodney McKay, RCMP to be precise and John is Dr John Sheppard, a mathematician. Not their usual roles I know but still fun all the same. When Rodney picks his off world team he drags John through the Stargate with him but also takes along with them, the very nervous Dr. Carson Beckett who is not the Chief Medical Officer and Lieutenant Laura Cadman who is making it her life’s work to flirt with Carson. They get the boring missions and none of the risky exciting ones and are nicknamed “Team Misfit” but so what, they are team and they work.
