Why This Must Be Read: Oh, JD Ficathon—so many wonderful Jack/Daniel fics posted! This one starts in the midst of Beneath the Surface; Jonah has an erotic dream about Carlin that sparks an appreciation for the man, and makes him realize he has a kink he never knew about before. When they get back to their normal lives, Jack does something about the first, but it takes him a while to admit to the second. Luckily, Daniel is good, giving, and game, and Sid treats us to a delicious NC-17 look at that. As a bonus this story gives us a fascinating reason for why Daniel worked out so much in later seasons.
