Why This Must Be Read:

For those of us who felt the end of "Serpent's Lair" a little rushed, Redbyrd fills in many details while adding a new layer of drama: what the shuttle astronauts experienced. She creates satisfying new characters and does justice to Jack, Sam, Teal'c, and Bra'tac as they struggle to cope with conflicting emotions and the demands of secrecy.
