Summary: When John receives an unexpected legacy he heads back to Earth, taking Rodney with him. While there he must deal with some old ghosts, Rodney’s love of brownies and a life-changing discovery. There may also be a moose and an alligator but they’re completely incidental.

Written for the McShep Happyfic challenge, this story is full of all your favorite tropes.  John inherits a cabin in Montana and invites Rodney to go with him to check it out when they have to take leave on Earth.  It's a road trip, a cabin story, a clueless Rodney story, a reflective John story.  Rodney and John reminisce about their childhoods, and we get a glimpse into what made them the men they are today.  It's Rodney and John being tourists on their own planet, and we're along for the ride as they figure out what they really mean to each other.
