Why this must be read:
In this stirring look at Daniel/Sha're and into Sha're's head, Moonshayde takes us on a journey of discovery into Sha're's psyche and into what gives her strength during the trying events of Stargate's first episode, Children of the Gods. Sha're's developing role as a leader of her people and their struggle for freedom showcases for us how Sha're is growing as an individual and in her community. However, at the end of it all, it's the cement-strong bonds of love between Daniel and Sha're that gives her strength as Sha're loses control of her physical body and is relegated to a prisoner in her own mind. That last memory Sha're envisions as Amaunet steals her body moved me to tears and also set up the quiet struggle that Sha're is about to embark on to save herself and her love. Very moving and very emotional, just like the relationship itself.
Story Summary: Shau'ri reflects on her life, and her time with her husband, as she tackles her destiny.
