Why this must be read:

A fic that requires multiple reads to get all the nuances, this one will keep you thinking for hours after reading. The disjointed storytelling and very disturbing implications involved here just leave me flabbergasted. The real horror in this story is what isn't described but is left for the reader to imagine. And let me tell you, imagination can be a dang creepy chick... Team Sheppard get drugged while offworld and "share the Night" with aliens. While recovering on Atlantis, the team needs to come to terms with what they did while under the influence with mixed success. Leave the lights on for this one, folks...

Why This Must Be Read: Angry, tightly controlled Jack is a thing of beauty, and in this fic, set so early in Season 1 that Daniel's still living in SGC temp quarters, he's as angry at himself and his sexual attraction to Daniel as he is at Daniel and at Daniel's unpredictability in the field. As they hit the showers after a post-mission debriefing, Jack fights past his physical responses to engage Daniel professionally and personally -- only to find himself with an even more problematic issue to deal with.
