Why This Must Be Read:

Despite the NC-17 rating in the header, this set of stories detailing John's transformation into his spirit animal is actually G to PG-13 until Day 30. The chronological listing follows John and Rodney on their journey to understanding and enlightenment, with strong support from Teyla and Ronon. They learn about each other and themselves as John roams Atlantis in the guise of a black cat and under Rodney's care. The stories are funny and sweet and even a little sad on occasion, and I consider them favorites in my personal comfort fic collection.
