Why This Must Be Read: This is a wonderful, early season Teal'c and Jack story where Teal'c makes some assumptions about the Tau'ri and SG-1, and Jack has to explain it's not quite how it's done.

Dorothy writes a wonderful Teal'c voice, and in this fic it's just outstanding. Teal'c is perfectly in character as he tries to adjust to even the sounds on Earth that are different from Chulak and then asks Jack some questions about sexual matters of the Tau'ri, and Jack is wonderful as he tries to explain why he doesn't engage with sex with any of his team, and how the Air Force feels about it.

Wonderful early season Jack and Teal'c, when you can see they trust each other but they don't quite know each other yet. The author calls it Pre-Slash but I don't read it that way at all, so don't let the "pre-slash" warning scare you off.

Why this must be read: Saturday night smut because... well, why the hell not? :D. Kirsty841 is an excellent, excellent author. As the summary says, this is a play on the power and control dynamics between Sam and Jack, who are officially together but their relationship is still under wraps. The whole 'commanding officer' kink is certainly not rare in SG fics, but this author just played it up and excelled at it. It's smut, yea, but I don't think it's just about the sex, there's a lot said between the lines. There are sequels to this.
