Why This Must Be Read: The entirety of this fic takes place inside Daniel's brain, his musings as he watches Jack participate in an off-world ritual. The ritual is challenging, but not harmful, and Kuonji does a wonderful job of capturing Daniel's intelligent insights into Jack, himself, and the team, among other tangents, while he observes. Daniel's clear-eyed admiration is easily appreciated by all Jack fans, and the last sentence is perfect! With smart!Daniel, hot!Jack, and lovely character notes, this is a J/D delight.
