Why This Must Be Read: This is a blast from the past -- a fic from the early days of the fandom. Why This Must Be Read: This is an AU story where Elizabeth loses her memory due to her injuries in "First Strike" and the team also loses Atlantis. Everyone is back on Earth, except Elizabeth's memory of the entire expedition has been wiped out. John and Rodney are trying to help her regain her balance.

PB as usual has lovely characterizations of everyone, especially Rodney who can so easily slip into gratingly abrasive in fic, and John, being as awkwardly tongue-tied as he is in canon.

Why This Must Be Read: There are only certain people who can manage to write in a Jane Austen style without making historical errors that would make actual Austen fans scream, not to mention getting a handle on the language. This is one of those stories that manages to succeed with both. It is a UST story and it ends that way, and since it was last updated in 2007, I suspect that's not going to change.
