Why This Must Be Read: agentotter has a hand for Sam/Rodney. The characterizations are spot-on, with both characters snarking at each other, but also being civil and friendly when the situation calls for it. It's one of the earliest Sam/Rodney fics I read and I never get tired of it. There's also loads of other characters in this story, from Zelenka to Beckett.

Why This Must Be Read: Action and adventure, drama, angst, and suspense make up the bulk of my fanfic reading, but every now and then even I need something fun and light, and this little story delivers.  The author takes a popular SG-1 fanfic trope, that of Lusting!Jack and Oblivious!Daniel, and fluffs it up with some gently poking humor, while still treating it with affection and respect.  As told from Jack's POV, his inner monologues and external dialogues are lively and vibrant, very Jack-like, and it all creates a charming, fun, and funny whole.

Author's Summary:  "For Colonel Jack O'Neill, stalwart leader of SG-1, PR5-48T would forever be The Panty Planet...He still had a pair of Daniel's BVD's hidden away."

Why This Must Be Read:  This beautifully realized character study explores both Daniel and Jack as individuals, and their relationship with each other in the early years of SG-1, and the evolution of same, with an easy, organic progression, all told from the perspective of two men who really are just sleeping together.

Why This Must Be Read: "Remnants" made canon what was already fanon: John Sheppard might benefit from some psychotherapy. The episode was ripe with clues to what makes him tick: how deeply unhappy and broken he is under his facade and his isolation and loneliness. In his delusion, he is noticeably alone, without allies or rescue and literally the last man standing. It speaks volumes about what he thinks of himself that he chose to torture and punish himself that way. Rightfully or not, he blames himself for everything. In the end, aren't we always our own harshest critics and most merciless tormentors?

It saddens me the show ended without resolving anything, leaving him in a tortured mental state with this and the even gloomier “Vegas” as the final word on Sheppard. It's such a dark fate. Luckily fanfic writers have been willing to clean up TPTB's mess. My favorite two tags are very different yet equally well-done character studies.
