Why This Must Be Read:

On its face, this fic is a classic SG-1 team adventure/mystery set sometime after Daniel's return in Season 7. But at its heart, it's a Sam tale as much as anything else. It's written from her point of view and gives a lot of insight into her character. This is a Sam who plays at being confident, but has her own insecurities, who grapples with facts and proven hypotheses, but wants to let her imagination soar like her teammates (literally...you have to read the fic). Who still feels disconnected to the Daniel's who's returned to them, but still has that irrevocable bond that SG-1 shares with each other and helps them at their weakest.

Sam's insights into her teammates, and their insights of her are profound, and weave into the plot in a riveting manner. Besides that, the team banter is top-notch. Read this fic and savor the adventure.

Why This Must Be Read: This is more an Elizabeth-centric piece with hints of her and John being more than friends than an outright romantic story. The focus is on the ordeal of people having gone missing and Elizabeth's struggle to not give up hope and not snap under the strain, and how John fits into that process. There are a lot of great little touches in the story about the other characters as well like Rodney, Ronon and Teyla, all of them very authentic. Daniel and Teal'c make a cameo appearance.
