Why This Must Be Read: Written recently for the [livejournal.com profile] swficathon, Medie gives us an oustanding AU featuring John and Elizabeth as Ancients rather than humans. The story is split into two separate timelines, one featuring the doings of the Alterans before the end of their war with the Wraith, and the other dealing with the arrival of the Atlantis expedition in the abandoned city some ten thousand years later. Both characters are recognizable and their interactions in both timelines brings each group to life. The Ancients become real people instead of ultra-wise, distant beings, and John's Ancient persona and Rodney prove that some things just transcend differences. A wonderful one-shot.

Why This Must Be Read: Based on the sobbing scene in "Unending" it's a raw and devastating look at how that scene came to be. Vala can literally bring you to tears in this fic, and Daniel, Daniel, who is trying to be pragmatic and practical breaks you because he is breaking too. Beautiful fic, heartbreaking fic, grabs some tissues.

Summary: Luckily for Weir, Caldwell understands the issues surrounding being possessed.
Link: Visiting Hours, Remnants

Why This Must Be Read: Weir/Caldwell, my SGA weakness... Visiting Hours is a pre-Weir/Caldwell episode tag for "Critical Mass", Remnants its semi-sequel, a wonderful coda for the episode "The Long Goodbye". There was certainly not enough on the show about how it affected Elizabeth to having been possessed by Phebus. Or how it affected Caldwell to having been possessed by the Goa'uld. And these two stories story explore both and gives these two characters comfort in each other.

Summary: She doesn’t overtly shun him, doesn’t get up and leave the table when he comes to sit down in the mess, and when they’re all together, she treats him exactly as before. There is nothing that anyone else might witness and conclude from it that she is shutting him out.
Link: Arm's Length

Why This Must Be Read: An episode tag for "Missing", we get a glimpse into the friendship of Teyla and Ronon and how Teyla might have behaved after finding out the Athosians are missing. This version collides with canon by now, but don't let that stop you. It's a wonderful characterization of both Teyla and Ronon, beautifully written

Why This Must Be Read: The team has met the Furlings and all has not gone well. There have been some ... cultural offenses. Oh my. It is best summed up by Jack: "Can we focus for a minute? We're being held hostage in Candy Mountain by evil midgets. Who want to have their wicked way with my team."

And please, when you are done snorting your way through this story, check out the other 3 SGA Easter ficlets in the same post. And pelt the author with jelly beans!

Why This Must Be Read:  It's one of the many things we all like about Ronan. He takes no prisoners. Apparently, even the Easter Bunny is no exception. I have a visual, after reading this story, of a forlorn and broken bunny, sitting alone in the hallway...*snorts, chokes, falls off chair*   I can't do it. I can't keep a straight face through this review. Read, giggle, and have a happy Easter!

Author's Summary: Sam worries about the things that don't add up.

Why This Must Be Read: Set early on in the show, it is an insightful look into how Carter might of tried to understand the workings of a team. The approach to the thought process that is going though her mind is wonderful, very Sam.
