Why This Must Be Read:
Sam volunteers to accompany Daniel when he wants to spend some more time at an archaeological site on a planet that appears friendly and safe. Unfortunately, it proves anything but as Sam and Daniel find themselves captured by a power-crazy scientist. He implants one of his devices in them - a metal disc that causes one to feel the physical sensations of the other, and sends Sam through the 'gate with orders to return with naquadah in 48 hours, and an intense reminder that they can easily use Daniel to get her attention.
The entire team bands together in their effort to get Sam and Daniel out of this situation safely and Sam and Daniel build a deeper connection as the devices begin to transmit not just physical blows, but also anger and frustration. This is an idea that could go sappy or cracky but Aimless makes it work really well.
