Why This Must Be Read: An extremely hot fic between two very hot people. This was one of the first fics of this pairing that I read and it remains one of my favorites. The characters remain very much themselves. Teyla's influence is a steady one with subtle humor, and Rodney is still himself with with babbling and the awkwardness, though nonetheless it makes him endearing.

Why This Must Be Read: They're off-world, things have gone horribly awry, and this time, it's not easily fixed in the space of a one hour show. But that's a good thing. We get snippets of what's gone wrong, images of how things went bad, and where they make a start at fixing them. It's told from three POVs - Rodney's, John's, and Elizabeth's - but it's a team story. Elizabeth's central to it, and she's grounded in a reality she doesn't want to be in, but to escape to something false would be to lose a chance to escape in reality. This one's worth reading over and over, just to catch the subtle nuances.

Why This Must Be Read: This is a nice, long story set on an original planet in Pegasus, where Elizabeth gets to take a nice vacation while working on some Ancient translations, until (of course) things go horribly awry. Chuck and Lorne come up with good plans to save the day, the OCs are well-rounded, and a new Pegasus culture is explored nicely. There's hint of a further mystery to be solved, as well, which gives me hope for a sequel.

Why This Must Be Read: This is a set of five drabbles, each comprising five moments in Elizabeth's life on Atlantis. It covers how she's changed, how she doesn't want to have changed (as well as how she does), and gives hints of the future. In each section, poisontaster hints at the surrounding events, while keeping Elizabeth very much in the moment of the story.

Why This Must Be Read: I apparently feel like overachieving in recs this month. This is a short, perfectly done story about what Ronon sees in Elizabeth that the Lanteans can't see, since they're caught up in Earth's cultural mores (more like America's, really). There's really not enough good Elizabeth/Ronon fic out there, so I felt the need to share this.

Why This Must Be Read:  Post-Fallen, Jack is concerned Daniel will remember things  Personal things.  While meditating with Teal'c.  While Jack himself is not there to help him deal with those things.  And Daniel does remember;  or rather, he thinks he remembers.  The angst in this beautifully-written story comes from the juxtaposition of imperfect memory and reality.  Oh, and there's sex.

Why This Must Be Read:  I really enjoy when neither character is required to give up their Alpha Male-ness to ... um...you know.  The Package is a great story of how Double Dog Dare Ya and One Upmanship can really throw a couple of hot guys into the fire.  Giggle away!
