Why This Must Be Read: Teand gives us a marvelous character study for not only Mitchell, but all of SG-1.

We get to see Mitchell considering each of his teammates in turn, reflecting on how so much better it would be, for a variety of reasons, to take them off the team. But then… Then he thinks again, and recognizes why Sam, and Daniel, and Teal’c, and even Vala have to stay exactly where they are.

There’s humor and wistfulness and a little pathos, and the last one on the list sums up the whole thing beautifully – not only for SG-1, but also for Cameron Mitchell. Read this one and smile.

Why This Must Be Read:
This was written for the sensory loss challenge at sheppard_hc and was the of the first SGA stories I read from someone who has become one of my favorite SGA gen authors.

John and Rodney, after accidentally offending some natives, are trapped in a maze-like Ancient ruin being hunted by its still-working security system - a killer robot that should be silly but friendshipper manages to make very scary. After an accident leaves John blinded and Rodney's hands badly burnt, they have to truly work together to escape alive.

friendshipper writes fantastic John and Rodney and really captures the banter between the two characters. Here she creates a well-paced story that will keep you at the edge of your seat and wondering how, or if, they'll get themselves out of trouble this time.
