He was nothing like Colonel Edwards, who Lorne had spent months with on P9X-403, trying to hide the fact that the other man’s aggressive and straightforward attitude wasn’t the exact thing that turned him on. Every time Edwards barked out orders or reminded them of their duty to their country Lorne spent the night frustrated and miserable in a tent with two other men. He spent too many nights like that.

This series of three fics, gives us a lovely sneak into Lorne's time at the SGC, comparing the relationship he had with his old CO to that he has with Sheppard. It's a nice look at Lorne's character and neatly explains the difference in his personality from SG1's Enemy Mine to the SGA character. Also it's a cute and sweet story with a generous helping of very hot smut.
