Why This Must be Read: I love Sheppard when he's dark, not evil but just that side of ruthless that's almost scary. The story balances a fine line between non-con and prior consent. McKay agrees to let Sheppard hurt him, and I don't think he quite realizes what he's getting himself into until it's too late. Incision's not exactly non-con but it comes close. My stomach was trembling in a good way after reading this story, I really got into the emotions of the characters, the writing just drew me in and didn't let go once. There are vivid descriptions, it's intense, and it's one of the best stories I've read this year. I couldn't stop thinking about the fic for days afterwards and I still enjoy re-reading it from time to time.
edit: prior consent is something I'm still trying to wrap my mind around, if I used it incorrectly, I apologize in advance.
