Why This Must Be Read:

This is an intense little sketch of Teal'c sizing up the new leader of SG-1. With more than enough tension to read as pre-slash (if you'd like it to), this gives us a thoughtful Teal'c weighing his own divided loyalties and his faith in O'Neill's judgement, and a complex, damaged Mitchell:

Twelve pilots went to air, three came down. Cameron Mitchell had led that squadron for the better part of four years. Men he had trained with, lived with, slept and ate beside. They died protecting SG-1.

Why This Must Be Read: I love this story. It’s sweet without being saccharine as Ronon poses a question to Sheppard with a gift. The best part of this story is the Ronon voice, the small bits of who he probably was before years of being on the run hardened him contrasted with who he’s become.

Why This Must Be Read: This fic is very good, but it’s very long. The characters are well written and the plot gets to the point. SG1 don’t make an appearance until late into the first part though, so be patient.

Why This Must Be Read:
Very funny fic in which a number of marines, Zelenka, Kavanagh and Shep get high and almost have an orgy with alien prostitutes Concubines; and McKay comes to the rescue. The story is set during the debriefing and has all the characters telling part of the story, trying to cover their own asses. So to speak.

From across the room, Zelenka makes a choked sound. "You did not have your gun."

John's eyes widen, turning on Zelenka. "Zelenka, I swear--"

"No gun, no *shirt*, if I remember correctly." Pushing unsteadily from Kavanagh, Zelenka leans into the table, looking considerably less drunk and a lot more pissed. "No shirt, no shoes, and *lipstick* on your--"

John's hands clench on the edge of the table, and Elizabeth wonders if she'll be able to separate them before there's an unseemly display in the conference room. "You really want to go there, Zelenka? Because we can go there. We can *so go there*."

Why This Must Be Read: The rarity of fic for Sora would be one reason, but combined with interaction with an Atlantis character, reflection showing character development and mention of 'War and Peace' and it all makes it a short but touching piece for the character - it convinces me she can move on from the vengance shown in canon.
