Why this must be read:

What i enjoyed about this fic, well first of all Sam Whumping. That's always fun for me, sick puppy that I am. :)
IT starts with General Jack finding a request from General Green, demanding that Sam be reassigned to Area 51. This, of course, isn't quite something that he wants because the good general doesn't want to lose one of his teammates...who has the potential to be something more.
Unfortunately, it doesn't quite work out as planned and Sam is reassigned. It does take Jack a few weeks to realize that since Sam is reassigned, she's no longer under his command. Bingo, regs to bye-bye.
But you know that it can't be that easy. While on a mission with SG-1, Sam stumbles across a plot of Ba'al's, to deploy a weapon that will destroy all life on earth. It's vital info that has to be gotten back to the SGC, and sg-1 does just that, and Sam is left behind in the process.
She is, of course, rescued, but it's not done there. Since the weapon exists, SG-1 needs to destroy it, and Sam has to confront her demons to do just that.
That's part of what i like about this. The story is well developed and novel length. The ship isn't all over the top and mushy, but is very realistic and pleasantly low key. And there is enough plot in it to keep almost anyone's interest.
All in all, i found it a nice long, interesting read and a story that i gladly nicked on my harddrive so that i could re-read it at my leisure
