WHY READ?: This, and the sequel (No Place Like Home, part 1, part 2, and part 3) are ‘Lost City’ and ‘New Order’ episode-related stories. I enjoy the way she writes everything so sweetly and sadly - there’s a real bittersweet taste in the way Jack and Sam relate to each other when they're saying goodbye, and the emotion just pours off the pages.

Put a bit of time aside for these, they’re pretty long, so they take a while to read.

WHY READ?: I love this story because it’s both action-adventure and relationship-romance - both well-written - a combination that’s difficult to find for any pairing. The action also encompasses both Daniel and Teal’c, and the concepts behind it are intriguing. For the people who kept up with the story as she wrote it, the way she ended Part One was positively evil and Part Two is also pretty cliff-hanger-y.

For the purists among us, this story does not actually end up with Sam and Jack together at the end. At least, not explicitly. In some ways, I prefer the kind of ending that is implied rather than explicitly stated (which makes me one of the few who was happy with the end of ‘Moebius’), so I like the way this story closes.
