Okay. Seeing as how I'm going to be out of town from tonight until the end of the month, I thought I'd do my best to squeeze in one last rec for each of my categories before I go. :-)
Rec Category: Sheppard/Weir
Pairing: Sheppard/Weir
Category: fluff, I guess
Warning: het, fluff
Author on LJ: I have no idea
Author's Website: no clue--if anyone does know, please comment with the URL and I'll add it
Link: In the Details
Why this must be read: I should state right upfront that this is the third in a series, but IMO you don't have to read the other two stories first--I didn't. If, however, you want to, the titles are "Peace Tonight" and "Moondance" respectively. The entire series is very sweet without being overly saccharine, but this one really stands out in my mind. It's hard to capture why I love it in words, it's just...visceral in a way. There's something very quiet about this fic, which should be out of character for Sheppard but Melyanna makes it work because of his reasons for being quietly contemplative. And yet at the same time, there's an undercurrent of the more typical energy of the character, only more nervous than playful. And yet despite that, the fic is somewhat soothing. Like I said, hard to explain. *g* But the gist of it is, I loved it, and had to share that love with all of you. :-)
