Why read it: Over the last few months I've been watching Stargate SG-1 on DVD from the beginning straight through to the end of Season 7, the first time I'd seen all of the eps in order since I started watching the show. This lovely post-ascension fic and its sequel One Thousand, Seven Hundred, and Twenty-Six got me through "Meridian" and held me until I reached "Fallen". This may not be the way it happened... but there's truth at its heart. Beautiful.

Summary: Sam and Daniel do sex on Jack. (There's more to the story than that, but I don't want to spoil you.)

Why read it: What I like best about this story is how complicated the relationships between Jack, Sam, and Daniel are. kres does a wonderful job showing how they negotiate their feelings, especially Jack for Sam and Daniel, and Sam for Jack and Pete. (Daniel actually has it easiest, I think, because for him, there really isn't any choice. He's fearless in going after what he wants.)

Note: This is not strictly a slash story -- there's definitely het and OT3 action going on -- but the main pairing is Jack/Daniel.
