I sat down to rec a different fic, as the last rec I made was also by this author, but I found myself drawn to "Everything" as I scrolled through the Sam/Jan section of my favorites list. It's been one of those weird, crappy days and I needed something familiar (I've read this fic at least 6 times already) and *good* (everything PR writes is *good*) to take my mind off the blah.
"Everything" is more than it seems. It's a great Sam/Janet first time fic that absolutely *simmers*, but it's also got a twist or two that will blow your mind (the first time I read it there were a few minutes where the only thing I could think was, "no freaking way"). The characters are drawn beautifully; Sam's desperation; Janet's confusion; Sam's jealousy, they’re all spot on. PR takes you on an emotional rollercoaster right along with the characters and though this story can be at times sad you’ll find yourself captured by it.
The one tiny problem I have with it is that the ending seems a bit off, though whether that's from it feeling rushed or unneeded, I'm not sure. Even still, this is an amazing story and definitely worth a read.
