Why This Must Be Read: There are a few awesome reasons to read this, from the images that esteefee paints, to the awesome Rodney McKay who still uses pine for his email (which probably 99% of folks don't understand - but that's okay. It's a happy little geek fact for me!), to worried John Sheppard and a masturbating Rodney McKay. Plus, who can resist and Evil!Genius!Parrish?


"I owe you. After that gag you pulled with your laptop to make fun of me?"

The universe did a quick spin maneuver and then settled at a right angle to itself.

"Gag?" Rodney said weakly, "Oh, yes. W-well, I'm sorry for teasing you."

But Sheppard's eyes narrowed into slits, and he took a step toward Rodney.

Rodney found himself backing up, even though he was quite aware the lab bench was two feet behind him and piled high with Ancient artifacts.

"It was a gag, right?" Sheppard sounded uncertain. "Wasn't it?"

Rodney could feel his mouth goldfishing open and closed. Why, oh why hadn't he ever learned to lie properly?

Now Sheppard looked thoughtful. "It wasn't a gag."

Rodney shook his head.

"You were actually watching it. On purpose."

Rodney nodded.

"In a loop." Sheppard's lips twisted in a rueful smile, and he shook his head. "Oh, Rodney."

"What?" Rodney asked belligerently. "It was honest lust, all right? FYI, you're not...all that bad to look at."

::snerk:: Hey, I've had an email address that's on the 'net in one form or another since about 1993. It wasn't until probably the early 2000s that my personal email address actually had a GUI. Until then, I'd relied mostly on elm, sometimes on pine. But aah, elm. I finally gave it up on my server in 2012, but that's only because you can't compile elm on the latest version of Linux anymore. :)

I had an email address in 93, but I gave it up for my current email address in 95. Upon which my ISP was bought up by a company that was bought up by my former ISP.

Still, my vanity address is almost old enough to drink foofy drinks with umbrellas in them (which seems like something a vanity address would do), so that's something.
