Why This Must Be Read: According to the author's summary, this story is a take on how Carson and Rodney met and became friends. Which is a fun dynamic to watch develop, but what I really like about this story is how it shows Atlantis' crew coming together even before they get to Atlantis. And how protective some of them are of their Head of Sciences behind his back even as he pretends to forget their names. Interestingly enough, it's also a story that shows Sumner in a good light and takes Sheppard to task over that thing with the lemon in SG1 (which is something that's always bothered me).
