Why This Must Be Read: For as short a fic as this (~450 words), Denyce is able to put together some incredible angst. When one person in a relationship has been hurt in the past, in this case Lorne, Parrish becomes almost hyper vigilant to make sure his partner is okay. This speaks to me after my own husband's health scare of 2 years ago.
Although he’d been back to work for over three months; Evan nodded, finally accepting that for David it was going to be a hell of a lot longer before the memory of his previous imminent death was nothing but a faded memory.
