Summary by the author:
When John and Company investigate an Ancient outpost in the Milky Way, they stumble upon a discovery so profound it may alter not only the course of their future, but also their pasts.
Why This Must Be Read:
The team members have to choose and I like how each choice turns out. Especially Ronon's because it's the surprising one.
"So when Janus finished explaining, finished telling Ronon all about what would happen should he change his mind at this juncture and not join the Satedan military, Ronon simply turned to him with a beaming smile on his face and said, "Sorry, I wasn't listening."
Janus stared at him.
"But it's all right," Ronon said. "I really don't care."
"I said some very important things that are pertinent to your situation here," Janus said.
Ronon shrugged. "Keystone event, right?"
Janus narrowed his eyes at him.
"That's what McKay was talking about before you showed up. This is--what? A chance to make things right? Go in a different direction?"
"You are quite perceptive," Janus said, "more than I might have given you credit for."
"Yeah, whatever," Ronon said, sitting back in his chair as he slipped the book from his pocket. "This isn't right anyway."
"Meaning?"
"This isn't my biggest regret," Ronon said."
