Why This Must Be Read: There's always something fun about a story with bullies who get shown up in the end. Or, even better, where the followers realize the ring-leader's actually full of it and not nearly as impressive as he thinks he is. How does this happen? SG-3 needs new members: enter three new recruits to the SGC, marines who couldn't be more stereotypical if they tried. There are some lovely team moments in this story as the rest of SG-1 rallies around Daniel to keep the obnoxious new guys away from him, but even better is the actual character developement seen in the bullies themselves when they're eventually forced to see and understand why Daniel's on SG-1.
