Why This Must Be Read: This is one of my all-time favorite SGA fanfiction stories because it is well written and it gives Teyla a rare chance to shine in a rugged and danger-filled misadventure.
It’s mostly hurt/comfort and friendship as Teyla and John interact away from the Ronon-Rodney buffer and learn interesting things about each other. And, yes, there is a twinkling of a possible future romance that flows naturally from the setting: a natural disaster which splits the team and strands Teyla and an injured John, with no easy access to a stargate. Can they survive? How will they get back to Atlantis?
