Why This Must Be Read: This fic is the slash version of what happened once John's boxes were taken out to the gateroom.  That scene in John's quarters is one of my favourites, but of course it never goes far enough :)  What with having rec'd the Het version, it was only fair that I include this one. Plus there's the teensy factor that it's John/Ronon and they're saying goodbye.  Lots of angst, beautifully awkward in a way only John/Ronon can manage.  I confess the screen blurred just a touch and of course I wanted  Ronon to stay. *sighs*  I may just have to read this one again tonight :)


Excerpt:

John caught his breath, suddenly aware of how young and vulnerable Ronon looked. He was leaving Atlantis tomorrow and that pain was suddenly stronger with the realization that he was breaking trust and abandoning Ronon to a Wraith-filled galaxy. He made his way across the nearly empty room and reached out, clasping the hand resting on the final box. "Ronon."

Ronon's fingers tightened around Sheppard's and he raised his other hand, ghosting it over Sheppard's arm. "Yes?"
