Why this must be read:
This author is one of my favorite, simply because she has the wonderful ability to keep a story going, with a lot of personal in depth understanding of her characters. It's the author's first fanfiction and what a story it tells. The characters are spot on IC. The title refers to Young's musing about Rush, about how he's like an onion, with so many different layer of meanings. It takes place after Rush's return. During an off world trip, Rush is seriously injured that requires TJ's ministrations as a medic. But Rush is terrified with Young there, and there's a good reason, which reveals why he chose to plan a mutiny against Young with Camille Wray. It's heartbreaking and it forces both men to confront issues of trusts. I highly recommend anything that hOuse-mOuse write, as the story, sometimes very dark and angst-ridden, is well written and believable.
