Subject: "Circles of Hell" by Lilandriel K+
Rec Category: SGU
Characters: Nicholas Rush
Pairing: none
Het/Slash/Gen: Gen
Warning: angst

Why this must be read: This is an imaginative idea of what happened to Rush after Young have abandoned him to die on a barren planet. The title is truly apt for this dark story, as it truly described the pure hell that Rush suffered at the hands of these giant bug-like creatures that demands that Rush work on some Ancient technology that they do not understand , yet wishes to possess. Rush is brutalized by the war-like creatures that view him little more than an intelligent lab rat. But the problem is, they are trying to figure out his diet, his requirement to stay alive and the trauma is unrelenting. Rush must use his wits to survive as best as he can, to think of escape while powerless in the hands of his capture. It is dark angst, though there is a light at the end of the tunnel, the journey itself is horrifying. I also recommend reading anything that Lilandriel wrote, as each and all are well written, on the level of a published author. But this one had the most punch for dark angst. Enjoy!
