Why this must be read:
The author, CleanWhiteRoom, burst onto the Fanfiction scene in May, 2011, with possibly the BEST SGU, or any Stargate, story ever. Word of this mysterious author's faultless writing ability spread quickly and many people flocked to find out what all the racket was about. It takes place sometime late in the second season. It's told from Young's POV, but arguably Rush is the central character. It's slow building, but it's worth your while. Eventually, Young and Rush fall into a relationship, but it's built realistically, not crackfic smut at all. As a reader, one comes to deeply care for all of the characters, especially our Colonel and our Rush. Destiny and the AI are a major part of the story. The story is still ongoing, but it's worth your while to read. The story is well written, totally absorbing, and one feels like one is breathing it in. All of the characters are written IC. Our Eli continues to provide comic relief, TJ is still the caring medic who does the best she can under trying times. The story builds up into a tightly written coil, and there are some scenes of respite. At all time, the reader feel like they're right there, whether in the midst of the crew's celebration, a Nakai attack, encountering problems on a planet, etc. There are several stand alone and some not quite stand alone in the author's corner that tells the viewpoints of other characters, such as Brody, Volkner, Greer, and so on. Over 260 reviews that's mostly glowing, this is a must read! There have been speculation that the author, who wishes to remain anonymous, was part of the stargate writing team because the story was so IC and flawless. It's on the level of what you'd find in a best seller publish book. Two men, whose very actions affect the crew and their survival as well, must learn to work past their differences in order to share a common goal, especially as Destiny nears the end of her journey. You will not regret reading this whatsoever!
