Why this must be read: When Sam disappears in The road not taken, SG-1 take turns keeping her company in the room from which she disappeared - but since she's not there, it's SG-1 talking to an empty room. Though there is established Sam/Jack in the fic, the focus is on SG-1 and how Sam's disappearance (and Daniel's as well) is affecting them. Most friendship fics I like feature 'classic' SG-1, but this is a nice one with the new group.

Summary: Missing scenes from The Road Not Taken. When Carter disappears, the rest of SG1 are left behind to talk to an empty room.
