Why this must be read:

A sweet interlude before the pain of Children of the Gods, Spacegypsy1 gives us a glimpse into Daniel's and Sha're's lives before everything went to hell in a hand basket. Daniel and Sha're relax beside a desert oasis while Daniel tries to explain rain to Sha're. This look into early Daniel and Sha're is almost bittersweet when we know what's in store for these two in the not-too-far future, but right now, right here, there's just love and "rain". :)

Story Summary: Daniel and Sha're share a moment just days before Children of the Gods.

"Yes, 'Rain' you know, Rain?" He had to keep inserting the English word unable to come up with the proper ancient Egyptian one at the time, "Water falling from the sky?" he continued in Abydonian, raising his hands, wiggling his fingers in a downward motion.

Sha're sat up laughing, "water falling from the sky, Dan'yel, what a joke you make!"

He smiled happily and stroked her hair, not bothering to correct her. Maybe someday he would teach her about rain forests and rain storms. His hand settled at her neck and he tugged her gently to him, I have all the time in the world for that, he thought as he kissed her, the smile still on his lips.
