Why this must be read: How would things have been different if Daniel had been a woman? How would Jack, not a great fan of scientists and, as we all saw in CotG, somewhat askance at the abilities of the fairer sex, have handled, well, Danielle?

ivorygates portrays this gender shift with dignity and a realism that will leave you wishing you could see it unfolding on the screen. Danielle is a feisty, intelligent, and stubborn woman and you will cheer her on every misstep of the way. IG’s interpretation of the Furlings and their motives is just amazing, detailed, and supported by mythological references.

I’ve hidden one of the pairings because it really deserves to be discovered in the story. Look if you must or just watch the brilliant leadup - it happens early enough. Give yourself enough time to enjoy this story :)
