Why This Must Be Read: An episode tag for The Serpent's Lair, this story gives a little insight into Jack & Daniel's relationship at that time, mainly through the themes of trust, caring, and friendship. Part of Scribe's Shower Series, it takes place mostly in the locker room and involves a shower, which is always a fun setting for an angsty friendship fic. Jack has concern for Daniel, which, in the case of this story, is warranted. I loved the way Kaz set the scene for this story. It feels natural, fitting in perfectly with events, and the characters are believable. As an added bonus, there is team love at the end which may bring about the warm-fuzzies.
