Why this must be read:

This has got to be one of the saddest Daniel/Sam fics I’ve ever come across. It’s a walk through Sam’s mind as she remembers Daniel after his “death” in Meridian. What Jeanine has done here is just poetry of the soul. She’s tied together Daniel’s talent in music, his place as a refuge in Sam’s life, and a truly tragic incident in the figure skating world that Sam equates with her situation so well.

As Sam’s sitting in Daniel’s empty apartment, listening on CD to the song that Daniel played for her, the reader gets such a deep sense of the love these two shared. To Sam, her sanctuary has been ripped away, leaving her with only memories, a haunting melody coming from the CD player, and Daniel’s glasses. Another example of the depth of emotion these two share. Go read and cry!!!

Glad you found some enjoyment from it. I absolutely fell in love with it when reading and had to share. :D One of the reasons, actually, that I chose to do the angst category this time round. And isn't it a gorgeous song?!?! :D
