Why this must be read: Well... I fell in love with Aeryn's 'Drowning' and 'Dawning' stories (as previously rec'ced), that afterwards I of course had to fic-stalk her, and thus stumbled upon this cute piece. And man was this cute. and funny. and awkward... Set after Jack's retirement, Sam and Jack suddenly get cold feet at the prospect of finally being together after all the waiting and suppressing emotions and potential expectations etc etc that had inevitably formed. And nervous Jack is adorable.
