Why This Must Be Read: This story captures the Jack & Daniel friendship with characterizations that are spot-on, with banter and dialogue that "sound" like the characters, and with just the right amount of emotion and humor to make it uniquely Jack and Daniel. This is a feel-good kind of story that will make you chuckle, perhaps get a very slight bit misty-eyed, and then give you a warm, fuzzy feeling inside that leaves you feeling happy about just about everything. It's one of my all-time favorite stories of any kind. I hope you'll all enjoy it, too.

Thanks! I was able to delete it with advice from...eh! I forgot to note the name. Please forgive me, but accept my thanks. :-) You go to your entry and click on "edit entry" (the pencil icon). There's a button at the bottom that says "delete entry." I never noticed that before.

And yes, I was so nervous posting for the first time! :-)

I was also worried about the reviewing part. I even wrote to angelsgracie about that, and she was very nice and helpful and reassuring. My problem with reviewing is just thinking of something to say. A lot of times when I send feedback, I just say, "Thanks for the story."

Anyway, I'm new at this, too, but I, personally, don't mind shorter reviews. Once I get going, I tend to say too much about most things, so I don't know how I'll do overall. Speaking O'Neill is one of my favorite stories, though, so probably the easiest one I'll write.

Sadly, saying "the story rocks" just doesn't say much about the story. :) Though I agree, it is easier to write about a story if you really love it. The hard part is not giving away the story while you write about it.

The good news, is that since no one else volunteered to take this category they can't really complain if they don't like my reviewing style. Not that I'm going to do a crappy job on purpose. I just don't want to do a disservice to the stories I'm recommending.

but anyway good luck finding three more stories this month. :) I look forward to reading what you recommend.

Exactly! LOL As you said, though, it's hard to think of what to say about a story without giving too much away or making the story sound stupid when it's a really, really good story.

Another thing is that sometimes when I try to give detailed feedback and pick out something that I felt really made the story stand out, I say it in a way that the author then thinks I didn't like it! LOL I don't know why that happens, because I think I'm saying why I *like a story, but it just doesn't read that way or something. So that's another reason that, like you, I tend not to say too much about the details of a story any more. :-)
